Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec): Apply

How to apply
If your child is studying in:
- Mainstream primary school
- Non-mainstream school
- Mainstream primary school
- Non-mainstream school
You have from 11am on Wednesday, 7 May 2025 to 3pm on Tuesday, 3 June 2025 to submit your child's application. Follow these steps:
- Use this to help you prepare the relevant information together with your child, before starting the online application. This facilitates smooth and efficient completion during online submission, saving time and ensuring a seamless application process.
- Log in to the DSA-Sec Portal with your Singpass. Find out .
- Indicate up to 3 choices and 3 talent areas. You may indicate up to 2 talent areas for the same school. If you want to apply for 2 talent areas at the same school, you must indicate both as separate choices.
- Your child's primary school information will automatically be shared with the applied DSA-Sec school(s) except for and as both schools handle direct admission. This information includes your child's P5 and P6 academic results, and other information from P4 to P6, i.e. CCA, Values in Action involvement, School-based achievements/ awards such as Edusave awards, National School Games, Junior Sports Academy participation and National Physical Fitness Award results (only for sports talent) to the school(s) that you have applied to. You do not need to key in this information.
- You may provide information on non-school based activities and achievements, which are related to your child's chosen talent areas. This section is non-compulsory, with a limit of 10 entries and no supporting documents are needed.
- Enter your contact details correctly. This allows the schools to contact you if your child is shortlisted for the selection process.
- You can update, withdraw and resubmit your application during the application period.

If you are unable to apply online
Approach your child's primary school for assistance.
If both parents are unable to submit the form to your child's primary school personally, you must nominate another adult to do so using this . The person that you have nominated will have to bring the following to your child's primary school:- Completed proxy form.
- Completed application form with parent's signature.
- Photocopy of your child's birth certificate or passport.
- Photocopy of both parents' NRIC or FIN (both sides), entry or re-entry permit, employment pass (both sides) or work permit (both sides) or passport.
- Their original NRIC or FIN or passport.
Part 1: Getting a registration number
You can apply for registration (RG) number online from 11am on Wednesday, 7 May 2025. Please allow 5 working days to process your request. Do apply early as you will need the RG number for your submission of the DSA-Sec application. Do note that late DSA-Sec applications will not be accepted once the application closes at 3pm on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.
If your child is studying in a MOE mainstream primary school, your child does not need to apply for a RG number. You can log in to DSA-Sec Portal using your Singpass to apply.
Submit the required documents accordingly and the RG number will be sent to your primary email address.
If your child is a/an:
You are required to submit digital copies of the following documents:
- Your child's birth certificate.
- You and your child's proof of citizenship. For example, passport, entry permit, re-entry permit, FIN, NRIC, Certificate of Singapore citizenship.
You are required to submit digital copies of the following documents:
- Your child's birth certificate.
- Proof of citizenship for both parents and child. For example, passport, FIN.
- Dependant's pass, immigration exemption order or student pass (if any).
- Your child's record of studying in Singapore (if any). For example, student card, school report book.
Part 2: Accessing the DSA-Sec Portal
Follow these steps:
- Set up your password with the link provided in the email sent to your primary email address.
- Use this to help you prepare the relevant information together with your child, before starting the online application. This facilitates smooth and efficient completion during online submission, saving time and ensuring a seamless application process.
- Log in to the DSA-Sec Portal with your RG number and password.
- Indicate up to 3 choices and 3 talent areas. You may indicate up to 2 talent areas for the same school. If you want to apply for 2 talent areas at the same school, you must indicate both as separate choices.
- Fill in your child's academic results and up to 10 activities and achievements which are related to your child's chosen talent areas.
- Enter your contact details correctly. This allows the schools to contact you if your child is shortlisted for the selection process.
- You can update, withdraw and resubmit your application during the application period.
